Very tough match, very difficult to predict which team is going to win this. The only thing that is sure, is that defence is going to play the main role in this game. Both teams lost the ticket for the semi - finals of Eurobasket 2007 in a tragic way, but i believe that France is a better team than Croatia and most important they had 24 hours more to relax than the Croats which will have to play against a very athletic team like France about 17 hours after their tough fight against Lithuania. I think that this is a very difficult thing to achieve, so my money is on France today...

One way match for both teams but for sure the better side on this one is Italy. Recalcati's team is very close to be eliminated from the quarterfinals and they have to beat both Turkey today and Germany in two days in order to continue playing in the tournament. Turkey seems to have internal problems and i can't see them fighting strongly against Italy...

Things are getting tough for Greece with 2 consecutive defeats from Russia and Spain. The European champions are having an offensive problem which is caused (in my opinion) by the lack of confidence that the Greeks suffer from. The Croats are a talented team but they are not trusty to bet on them with their ups and downs all the time through the years. It's time for Greece to achieve a big win playing good basketball and there's not a better chance than this one...

I expect a very tight match tonight, Spain will have their crowd on their side, they are coming from the defeat against Croatia and they want to show that their victory against Greece last year in the final of the World Championship wasn't just a miracle. On the other hand, Greece is playing the best defence in the Eurobasket once more and they were expecting this match against Spain for more than a year. They believe that they should be the World Champions (since they won USA in the semi - final) and they see Spain as a very talented team but with no special character. A real derby tonight from my point of view and i don't think that we are going to see such a margin in the final result...

I believe that this margin is too high. One of the most important players of the Greek team (and voted as Europe's best player last season) Thodoris Papaloukas said to the Greek press that Greece in order to win from now on, must not receive more than 45 points per match! Tonight's game is very important for both teams, both are coming from a defeat and i think that both Spain and Greece will have a lot of stress and are going to play tough defence...
